This Privacy Policy explains how gopodcast.me ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with our service that converts text and documents into audio and provides public and private podcast feeds.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
- We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and analyze service usage. You can control cookies via your browser settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the service and features.
- To process text and documents into audio files.
- To host and deliver audio files, embeds, and RSS feeds.
- To enable authentication, account management, and support.
- To process payments for subscriptions, when applicable.

Where Your Data Lives and Who Processes It
We use reputable third-party providers to deliver our service. These providers act as processors on our behalf and may handle your data only as needed to perform their services:
- Authentication and user management (e.g., cloud identity platform).
- Payments (e.g., Stripe) for subscription billing.
- Application hosting, databases, and compute (e.g., major cloud providers).
- File and audio storage (e.g., cloud object storage providers).
- Text-to-Speech processing via third-party TTS providers (e.g., commercial AI voice services). Your text may be transmitted to these providers solely to generate the requested audio.
We require our processors to apply appropriate security measures and to process data only under our instructions.
Public vs. Private Content
- Public Embeds and Public RSS Feeds: If you choose to make content public, related audio files and metadata may be accessible to anyone with the link and may be discoverable by third parties.
- Private RSS Feeds: Your private feed URL is unique and non-guessable, but it functions like a bearer token. Anyone with the link can access it. Share it only with trusted parties. You can request regeneration of a private RSS link if needed.
Data Retention and Deletion
- We retain your account data, uploaded files (PDFs, text, URLs and extracted content), and generated audio for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
- You can delete content and audio from your dashboard. Deleting your account will remove associated content and audio from our active systems. Residual copies may remain in backups and logs for a limited period (typically up to 30–90 days) before automatic purge.
- We may retain minimal information where legally necessary (e.g., transaction records for tax/audit obligations).
Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these rights through your account settings or by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal information. We process data to provide the service you request and for legitimate business purposes.
International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect your information during such transfers.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
